Merry Christmas!
On Christmas day, we’re giving away this stained glass star I made! If you’d like your name in the drawing, post a Bible verse about a star (or stars) in the comments below.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
UPDATE: Thank you for all your posts! I enjoyed reading each verse you found. The start is on it’s way to Mary Nichols!
Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name, because of His greatness and strength of His power, not one of them is missing. (Isaiah 40:26)
Matthew 2:1-11. Verses 9 and 10 “After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.”
St. Matthew chapter 2 verse 2
Saying, where is he that is born king of the jews? for we have seen his star in the east and are come to adore him.
Daniel 12:3
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
Matthew 2:2
Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.
Psalm 147:3
He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name . How great is our Lord. His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension.
Psalm 136: 9
The moon and the stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Genesis 1:14-18
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
Numbers 24:17 “I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near: a star shall come out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel; it shall crush the forehead of Moab and break down all the sons of Sheth.”

Psalm 136:7-9 To Him who made the great lights: The sun to rule by day, the moon and stars to rule by night, for his lovingkindness is everlasting.
Psalm 136:7-9
To Him who made the great lights, For His lovingkindness is everlasting: The sun to rule by day, For His lovingkindness is everlasting, The moon and stars to rule by night, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
This is from Sally Lloyd Jones, Jesus Storybook Bible and I love it, so I wanted to share: “This baby would be like that bright star shining in the sky that night. A light to light up the whole world. Chasing away darkness. Helping people to see. And the darker the night got, the brighter the start would shine.”
Matthew 2:2: “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
Merry Christmas Marie! Thank you for your beautiful work – and equal spirit. Blessings.
Merry Christmas, Tasha! Your kind words are very sweet–thank you!
Psalm 147:4-5
He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite
