Have you ever noticed how some moments just seem to stand out? For me, when I see 11:11 on a clock, it’s a reminder to pause, say a prayer, and invite God into my day in a special way. It’s become a joyful little tradition that even my husband and kids have joined over the years. As soon as they spot 11:11, they’d call out, and together we’d take a moment to connect with God. These moments remind me how much joy multiplies when we share it with others who get just as excited about what we’re doing!
“Joy multiplies when we share it with others.”
This isn’t just true with prayer—it’s true for any goal we pursue. Whether it’s training for a race, running a marathon, or pushing ourselves toward a dream, everything seems easier, more exciting, and more fulfilling when we have people beside us, cheering us on and sharing the journey. When I set my sights on qualifying for the Boston Marathon, I knew it would be a challenge, but thankfully, I had a friend to tackle those tough training sessions with. Through all the speed drills and long, grueling runs, having her by my side helped me dig deep and press on. And, by God’s grace, I qualified for Boston on—yes, you guessed it—November 11th (11/11)! Then, months later, I got my Boston registration email at exactly 11:11 am. It felt like a wink from heaven, a little reminder that God sees us and loves celebrating these milestones with us.
“Everything seems easier, more exciting, and more fulfilling when we have people beside us.”
Maybe you have a favorite number, a favorite prayer spot, or even a favorite time of day. These things may seem small, but God is a God of details! He is with us in the grand plans, and He’s with us in every little moment that we invite Him into. Our Heavenly Father is thrilled when we come to Him together, sharing our hopes, our dreams, and even our little traditions.
Matthew 18:19-20 says, “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” This verse tells us that God honors the power of together. He promises to be with us when we come together in His name, whether we’re praying at 11:11, running for a marathon, or simply joining hands with a friend to ask for God’s help.
Takeaway: Let’s celebrate the little moments when God shows up in ways that feel personal to us. Share these moments with those who encourage your faith and journey. And remember, whether we’re praying with a friend or reaching for a goal, we’re never alone—God is right there, cheering us on and sharing in the joy!
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being with us in the big moments and the small ones. Thank You for friends and family who share in the joy of seeking You. Help us to remember that You delight in every part of our journey and that when we come together in Your name, You are right there with us. Amen.
Happy Running!
